About

Gilly Woo is a couture dressmaker from Bristol who made thousands of women’s’ bespoke outfit dreams come true. After two decades in the industry that she used to adore, she realised her own dreams had been neglected and that her soul was left longing.

Long story short: during the pandemic living in a motorhome, unable to find a replacement for a lost earring, she decided to make one. Further inspired by a scarcity of jewellery that was stylish and went with any outfit from wellington boots to stilettos, W;EAR was born.

From small beginnings selling a simple collection of earrings at Sunday markets, W;EAR has now grown into a thriving brand, expanding to include bags, clothing and accessories. In 2024 Woo’s partner officially joined the business, and together they now trade at 50+ events a year, including their all-time favourite - Glastonbury Festival!

They now live in a tiny flat handcrafting and curating minimalist jewellery, customising bags, creating disco jumpers and coming up with new ideas.

The things Woo loves most are traveling in Winter, spending Summer in festival fields, being in nature, minimalist living and being useful.

Her soul is happy now.
